News – January 2011

NZADDs has a name – New Zealand Aid and Development Dialogues. Thank you to everyone who submitted names to the naming competition. And congratulations to Kristine who won.

NZADDs has a website (you’re looking at it)! We’re still developing some of it, so please bear with us. In the meantime we’re planning to use this page (the home page) to post updates on what we’re up to and also any other news of New Zealand aid and development related activities.

Help us! We’re interested in any news about New Zealand aid and development related activities. While we’re trying to keep an eye out for this sort of stuff, we’re bound to miss things from time to time. If you’re aware of anything (be it in a newspaper or something you’ve experienced on the ground)  we’re interested in knowing about it.

Welcome to NZADDs

Welcome to NZADDs. We’re an independent group of academics and practitioners working together to promote dialogue and critical thinking about New Zealand’s role in international development.

Be it through aid, trade, immigration, or environmental policy (to name just a few), decisions made in New Zealand have real impacts on the the lives of people living in poverty in other countries. If we as a country want to help reduce global poverty and tackle global issues we need considered, well-intentioned policy and practice. NZADDs is committed to promoting this.

You can read more about NZADDs on our about page. For contact information see our contact page. Keep scrolling down to read our most recent updates on New Zealand Development Policy.
